Jun Ho plays Gu Won, the smile-less heir with a painful past who has been plenty hurt by people with smiles and opposing intentions. Jun Ho told the press, “I am usually the positive and smiley guy around, so it was so hard to keep myself together for shoots. The moment the director said CUT, I burst into laughter-I think everyone did, actually…”. He also recalled that he tried to portray Gu Won as someone that everyone can empathize with despite his luxurious and unreachable social status.

Meanwhile, Yoon A portrays Cheon Sa Rang, whose name literally means Love in Korean, and seeks to go up the social ladder with her harmless smile and her hardworking attitude. However, her warm smile also covers her painful past, which is for you to find out, only on Netflix, in just a few days!

More than a Rom-Com, King the Land multi-genre Romance!

The director repeatedly emphasized that he “tried to make a high quality content. Nowadays people seek multi-genre content that has a little bit of everything, which is quite understandable. Also, coming from a variety TV show producer, I am really glad that we were able to embed the aspect of comedy! That’s my specialty.” Meanwhile, Jun Ho excitedly told the press, “There were certainly aspects in the script where I was so surprised to see in a Rom-Com. These small and various details make our drama really special. I can’t wait for the fans to see it.”

The drama, which is set in the context of the chaebol lifestyle and the hoteliers of the chaebol-owned hotel, is about to cover various themes and will let you take a peak at a life that is not quite open to the public. Furthermore, with various actors who have a background in the musical genre expected to make quite an important appearance, the series carries diverse aspects of entertainment! Don’t miss out on King the Land, fully packed in romance and a twisting plotline!

How can such Two Opposites Fall in Love?

With cute bickering and comical situations that the two opposing characters keep encountering, the series will depict through its various episodes how Gu Won and Sa Rang surrender to their hesitations and prejudice and attract each other like a couple of love magnets.  The director told the press that he concentrated on creating a convincing character development that would make the viewers understand why the two couldn’t help but fall in love, so be sure to be the witness of the two lovebirds from completely different worlds!
