A drama with extraordinary characters with ordinary (to not-so typical) problems.
The drama is about the Bok family and how their powers weakened or become unusable due to their daily lifestyle: e.g. the mom can see the future in her dreams, but she can’t predict anything anymore because of insomnia, etc.
It’s a pretty fun and interesting series, and the concept is a bit like a mix of “Moving” (because it’s centered around a family of superheroes) and “Parasite” (plus, the addition of a con-artist who infiltrates a rich household). But, what makes “The Atypical Family” different is that it has a present-day twist, as the drama showcases mundane human habits turning into modern lifestyle diseases that crippled humans with unique powers.
All in all, what makes this drama special is how it combines a fantasy concept and realistic concerns… and it’s also rather… intriguing.
