WOODZ (Cho Seungyoun) Talked About Living In The Philippines

During his Manila press conference, Cho Seungyoun–more popularly known in the KHipHop community as WOODZ–shared how it was like to live in the Philippines.

Headliner Manila asked via host Kyungmin Kim: “What was a core memory that you have while you were in the Philippines?” The artist replied, “I was able to meet a lot of people here and I was able to communicate with a lot of different cultures [and people].”

He then talked about the friends he made in the Philippines, and how proud they would be knowing that he finally achieved his dream of becoming a singer. He added, “I don’t know if they still live in the Philippines, maybe [they will be proud of me].” He then expounded, “Most especially my schoolmates back then. I still have memories with them.”

WOODZ also shared the Filipino words he learned including, “para dito,” “para po,” “kuya,” and “direcho”–terms that he most likely picked up while taking public transportation in the Philippines.

Regarding his first concert in the country, WOODZ stated, “[The concert] in the Philippines is a very meaningful to me. [I have] so many memories of me and my closest friends [here]. ” He also took time to show gratitude for his fans: “If there is no Moodz there will be no Woodz (Moodz = Woodz).”

WOODZ conducted his Manila press conference last June 16, and concluded his first concert in the Philippines last June 17 at the Araneta Coliseum.
