Stray Kids–Lee Know, Felix, Seungmin, Han, I.N, Hyunjin, Changbin, and Bangchan–are all back in Manila for their BENCH fan meeting tonight, January 20, at the Mall Of Asia Arena.
During their press conference as one of clothing brand BENCH’s Global Ambassadors, Bangchan reminisced on their first visit, “Definitely, it isn’t the first time [we visited the Philippines]. The first time was when we had our UNVEIL TOUR in Manila,” dated April 27, 2019. He then mentioned his impression of Filipino STAYs back then, “From what I remember most distinctively, because, you know, we have in-ears [during the show], and the screams of [PH] STAYs pierce through our in-ears… and we just hear their screams, it echoes like crazy.”
Felix then added, “Back then was unforgetttable.” He elaborated, “The people, the way that everyone treats every one of us, I feel like that was really what the Philippines [was all about]. And what really represents it. Everyone was so nice, and treats us with so much respect.” Felix then emphasized, “The Philippines is very beautiful.”
Felix also shared on what he wants to do while they are in Manila. He mentioned, “I have Filipino friends back in Australia, and they suggested a dish called Adobo. I hope one day I’ll be able to try [the viand] when we have some time.”
Han seconds the suggestion, stating, “Actually, we haven’t had an opportunity to enjoy the Filipino food here in the Philippines, but we really enjoy eating meat. And when we heard about the esteemed dish, Adobo, we really want to try it,” the press then suggested them to also try Sisig.
The boys eventually teased on what will happen on their upcoming show tonight. Han said, “We’re very excited. It’s been so long since we’ve come back to the Philippines. So, we prepared a lot, and we hope you’re excited as well.”
