EXO’s Suho On “Behind Your Touch”: “I didn’t choose the show, I think the show chose me”; Also Names “My Liberation Notes” As His Favorite TV Series

During the press conference for “Behind Your Touch,” Suho—who plays convenience store part-timer Kim Seon Woo in the series—revealed, “My favorite TV show is “My Liberation Notes.” I watch it and rewatch it, and then [found out that] director Kim is returning with another show, [which was “Behind Your Touch”]. So, it was my honor to be part of this project. I got the script and [while] I was reading the script, I felt that my character ‘Seon Woo’ was someone who was very interesting.”

He then admitted feeling curious about Seon Woo’s mysterious nature. He said, “So, when I first read the script, I didn’t get the entire script for all the episodes. I think I had the first 6 episodes amount of the script. And when I was reading the script, I was like “who is this guy?” I got very curious about who this guy ‘Seon Woo’ is. And as I read more scripts, I wanted to go back to the first episode and read it again to figure out who this guy really is because he is very mysterious. So, I was very intrigued by this character. I was reeled in by the script and I really wanted to take on this role.”

Suho then added, “I’m just really happy to be part of the show. I didn’t choose the show, I think the show chose me, the director chose me. I’m very happy.”

The singer-actor then talked about what viewers should expect in the series. He elaborated, “I think, you know, I told you that I read and re-read the scripts, right? So, it’s not just about my character ‘Seon Woo’, but I don’t want to give too much away, but there’s a lot of twists and turns and you have to think deeply about what happened before. So, if you see it again, it’s going to be fun but there’s something else—there’s another layer to those scenes. So, in that sense, I think this is a very fun and interesting show.”

“Behind Your Touch” is now streaming via Netflix.
