Thai actor Gulf Kanawut created fond memories with his Phiballs (official fandom name) during his recent trip to Manila. Presented by Pulp Live World, he held his first fan meeting last October 2 at the New Frontier Theater.
During the show, he mentioned that he would love to work with Filipina singer-actress Sarah Geronimo. To showcase his enthusiasm, Gulf also danced to Sarah Geronimo’s hit single “Tala” with the help of host Kring Kim.

The event was special for the actor and his fans as Phiballs were also given the Gulf Time segment where their pre-sent questions are answered by the actor. Gulf was delighted to answer all the questions and is very appreciative of his Filipino fans.
Additionally, everybody knows he loves football so much that this was also highlighted during his fan meeting. The challenge is Gulf should be able to at least hit the ball five times to successfully complete the mission, and for him to be able to give three lucky fans a signed ball. He eventually managed to hit 12 and lucky fans were able to take home signed balls.

Gulf even learned how to say few Tagalog words during his fan meeting such as: “mahal kita” (I love you), ” kailangan kita” (I need you), “aalagaan kita (I will take care of you), “ikaw lang sapat na” (you are enough), and “sayo lang ako” (I’m only yours). Plus, he wore our country’s traditional clothing, Barong Tagalog, during the show.
Gulf was also able to perform songs fan-favorite songs like his single “Why so serious?”, “Be Mine” and “Hold Me Tight”, and his rendition of Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself”.

Gulf was very happy with the unwavering support and encouragement from his fans. Hence, it’s safe to say that he surely enjoyed his stay in Manila. He ended his fan meeting with a heartfelt message to all the fans who were able to meet him and stated that he would love to go back to the Philippines as soon as possible.
