GOT7 in Manila “tingi” version continues with JAY B’s “TAPE: PRESS PAUSE” concert last October 1 at the New Frontier Theater.
Here are 5 moments that brought JAY B closer to his Filipino Ahgases.
1.) As it was Jay B’s first time to perform as a solo artist live in Manila, he made sure to sing his solo tracks including “Switch It Up” and one of his latest tracks “Go Up,” among many others.
2.) Jay B made sure to learn the Filipino language to communicate with his fans better. During the event, he learned words such as “pogi ako,” “shot puno,” “pasenya,” and “mahal ko kayo,” among many other phrases.
3.) He often made sure to interact with his fans. He would also ask questions and then come near the fans to hear their answers closely. Jay B asked about what he should eat in the Philippines twice, and PH Ahgases recommended to try Jollibee. However, as the artist is more inclined to try soup dishes, a fan asked him to have a bowl of sinigang.
4.) Jay B even surprised the crowd by performing “Hello 2.0 (Legends Only)” with Filipino-Australian singer James Reid live. They even talked about wanting to collaborate once again. James Reid also taught Jay B how to compliment Filipina fans by saying “ang gaganda ninyong lahat.”
5.) JAY B said that he hopes that all the GOT7 members can visit the Philippines together for a show. Currently, five out of the seven members already visited the Philippines this 2022—namely Youngjae, BamBam, Jackson, Yugyeom, and, most recently, Jay B.
The singer also made sure to perform GOT7’s tracks including “NaNaNa.” Jay B completed his Manila show by once again going down the stage to greet his fans.
Until next time, Jay B!
