In an exclusive interview with Headliner Manila, PHP talked about the local and other Asian artists that they want to collaborate with.
JP picked Iñigo Pascual and Jackson Wang. Sev chose Up Dharma Down and NIKI. Chrls said it’d be Zack Tabuldo and BIGBANG. For Yuki, it’s none other than Arthur Nery and RAIN (who also starred in “Ghost Doctor”). Yukito wants to collaborate with Michael V. (who is known for his parodies in the show “Bubble Gang) and Korean girl group TWICE. Last, but definitely not the least, Zi.O picked Gloc-9 (who he also referred to as his musical influence) and Jay Chou.
When asked about whether they’d like to collaborate with other P-pop groups, too, Yukito replied that they are open if an opportunity arises, excitedly stating, “kung sino man available.”
Aside from dream collabs, the boys also talked about their musical influences. Both JP and Chrls cited musicians from the 90s as some of their inspirations—this included “Backstreet Boys,” “NSYNC,” Ne-yo, and many OPM bands, among others. While for both Yuki and Yukito, their moms’ taste in music played a huge part in the type of music they now like. It’s almost a similar case for Sev, but, for him, it was his tita. Still, Sev cited that K-pop groups like 2NE1, BIGBANG, and iKON were the ones who made him want to become artist, too.
