For those who felt that the ending was also a huge cliffhanger, don’t worry, “Yumi’s Cells” will return for a second season.
*SPOILER WARNING FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN’T SEEN THE ENDING AND THE WEBTOON*
Season two is expected to focus on Yumi’s (Kim Go Eun) blossoming romance with Yoo Bobby (GOT7’s Jinyoung) and might tackle her moving on stage from her breakup with Woong (Ahn Bo Hyun). Still, like most Webtoons adapted into a Korean drama, the writers may attempt to change the story’s flow. However, seeing at how season one ended, this series is also most likely to follow the Webtoon.
Additonally, Shin Ye Eun is confirmed for a special appearance in the series as Da Eun, who becomes a part-timer in Bobby’s Teokbokki restaurant. The two stars will be reuniting as they were the leads in the drama “He Is Psyhometric.”
The series might also introduce a new key character, Shin Soonrok. Who’s that? Viewers might need to wait for season two, or you can also read the Webtoon to prep up for the next season.
Additionally, “Yumi’s Cells” will also have animated version and be produced as a musical.
