The city of Gongjin in “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” is actually a fictional seaside village, there’s actually no Gongjin City. However, the place does exist in South Korea and is located in Pohang City, North Gyeongsang Province.
Due to the drama’s popularity you can now book a tour to go around the area for as low as 6,000 won (or around 255 pesos for adults) or 4,000 won (or around 170 pesos for children, persons with disabilities, and selected workers). The tour will be “romantic travel to Pohang” course, and will visit tourist spots such as the Sabang Memorial Park (where you can see Du Shik’s boat), Wolpo Beach, Igari Anchor Observatory, the red lighthouse, and many more.
You can book a tour starting October 18 via Pohang’s culture website.
