Award-Winning K-Drama “Flower of Evil” And Comedy Series “Welcome to Waikiki” Is Now Tagalized on Viu Philippines

Viu Philippines is bringing the 2020 Suspense Melodrama “Flower of Evil” to a wider audience this month by offering the drama in Tagalog-dubbed format.

The series revolves around the complexities of love and trust between a married couple. Cha Ji-Won (Moon Chae Won) is a detective. She is married to Baek Hee-Sung (Lee Joon Gi) and they have a daughter. Baek Hee-Sung seems like a committed husband and father, but he hides his cruel past and lives under another person’s identity. He deceives his wife completely. Cha Ji-Won learns of his deception and chases his past.

Perhaps it is because Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won previously worked together on the Korean adaptation of Criminal Minds, but their on screen chemistry on “Flower of Evil” was really high that viewers were able to immerse themselves in the gripping emotions and thrilling action scenes.

Aside from “Flower Of Evil,” comedy series “Welcome To Waikiki” will also have a TagDub version. “Welcome to Waikiki” follows three friends who started a guesthouse to save up and finance their own movie. However, things don’t go as planned and their business isn’t doing well. The guesthouse is mainly managed by Dong Gu (Kim Jung Hyun), who dreams of becoming a film director. While partners Joon Ki (Lee Yi Kyung) continues to try to break into stardom as an actor but ends up only getting bit roles and Doo Shik (Son Seung Won) tries to help out with their looming debt by taking on odd part-time jobs. Together they run into many unusual and funny events as they try to keep their business afloat and run after their dreams.

While there is romance for the three male leads, the highlight of this series is its comedy that’s guaranteed to make everyone in the family laugh. This is definitely a show to watch with your family and with the series dubbed in Tagalog, it will be easily enjoyed by Filipinos everywhere.

New episodes of the Tagalized “Flower of Evil” and “Welcome to Waikiki” will be available for FREE every Friday and Saturday on Viu beginning February 19.
