12 Things About “Start-up” Actor Kim Seon Ho

Since Kim Seon Ho is receiving so much love for his portrayal as Han Ji Pyeong in “Start-up,” here’s a list of things you might want to know about the actor.

1.) Kim Seon Ho is 34 years old

Kim Seon Ho was born on May 8, 1986. (Yes, he’s an oppa for most of us!)

2.) Kim Seon Ho’s Korean drama debut was in 2017 via “The Good Manager”

Kim Seon Ho portrayed Sun Sang Tae in “The Good Manager,” showcasing his cute comedic side in the series.

He starred as a second lead in the dramas “Strongest Deliveryman,” “Two Cops,” and “100 Days My Prince,” and as the main lead in “Welcome to Waikiki 2” and “Catch the Ghost.”

He’s called “Paper Doll” because, as Kim Seon Ho explained, he can’t dance. Still, some of the dances he tried to do were SISTAR’s “Touch My Body” for “2 Days & 1 Night” and EXO’s “Growl” for “100 Days My Prince.” While his nickname “Dimple Prince” is basically because of his dimples showing whenever he smiles.

7) He is an only child and his childhood dream was to become a doctor

In an episode of “2 Days & 1 Night,” Kim Seon Ho was revealed to be an only child and has once dreamt to become a doctor. (Although he already forgot why he wanted to be one.)

8.) He was 32 years old when he first rode an airplane

In an interview with Marie Claire, he admitted he is “someone with a lot of fears.” He said, “I am not someone who will approach something with positive thoughts. If you wonder how bad it is, I found traveling an unfamiliar concept to me so that it was not until I was 32 years old that I first rode an airplane. That was also because I could not help it, since it was a close family occasion. It was through “Chief Kim‘s” reward vacation that I first learned the appeal of travelling. Since that, I have started going on domestic travels bit by bit.”

9.) Kim Seon Ho only has good things to say about Moon Geun Young

In another interview, Kim Seon Ho talked about working with his “Catch The Ghost” leading lady, Moon Geun Young. He said, “Sometimes, Moon Geun Young would say that she found things difficult too and unsure of some things, but I’m not sure about that. Haha. To me, she always seems to be a firm actress. An actress with so many good things you can follow.”

10.) He started as a theater actor

Kim Seon Ho might have debuted late as a TV actor, but he’s been acting since 2009 as theater actor. He starred in the plays, “Sherlock,” “Rooftop Cat,” “Kiss Of The Spider Woman,” and many others.

He said in an interview, “Of course. I won’t be here if not for those years. My stage acting experience is, no doubt, the most precious time to me, and it was a much needed process for me. I think that those time brought me here to this moment.”

11.) He once spent a night on an island

In an episode of “2 Days & 1 Night,” Kim Seon Ho had to spend a night on an island without the other cast members and with only a few of the production staff. He showcased a rather positive attitude despite the difficulty he had to endure during the shoot.

12.) His goal as an actor

Kim Seon Ho hopes to become an actor other celebrities would want to work with again. In an interview with ARENA HOMME+, he added another goal, “When I portray a character, I want to hear this kind of response, “It wouldn’t be possible if this role isn’t played by Kim Seon-ho.” Or “It is made for Kim Seon-ho.” If I happen to meet that kind of role… I am not sure about it myself but I think I would feel really good. I would be lucky!”
