Former idol trainee Kiyu, who has always been the center of attention due to his good looks, decided to quit the entertainment industry and live his dream of becoming an ordinary highschool student. With the help of his newly bought ~*~glasses~*~, Kiyu was able to conceal his handsome appearance, but he is now facing a new problem: How will he make friends when everyone is ignoring him after being indirectly labeled as “ordinary”? Plus, it doesn’t help that he’s seated next to the school’s rumored female “bully”, Cha Baek. Will Kiyu be able to live the high school life he longs for, or will this become his setback instead?
“Your Smile Is A Trap” showcases how simple misunderstandings can lead to bigger complications. It also brings light regarding the issue of superficial judgment, and how some people develop prejudice and act differently based on a person’s outer appearance; as “Your Smile Is A Trap” also teaches the old yet gold saying, “Do not judge a book by its cover.”
P.S. I can honestly see Cha Eun Woo (from “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty”) and Park Yoona (from “Sky Castle”) portray Kiyu and Cha Baek.
