Netflix’s “Kingdom” season one and two lead actor Ju Ji Hoon played a variety of Korean drama roles throughout his acting career. We’ve watched him portray an heir or a the talented son of a high-ranking official, with or without a past to avenge. We’ve also seen him wear different uniforms — in a crown prince’s robe, a doctor’s lab coat, and a lawyer’s suit, which (by the way) all look good on him.
Here’s a complete list of his Korean drama characters.
1.) LEE CHANG in “KINGDOM”
Ju Ji Hoon starred in both the first and second season of Netflix’s original Korean drama, “Kingdom.” The first season was released back in January 2019, while the second season premiered on March 13, 2020.
In the series, Ju Ji Hoon portrays Crown Prince Lee Chang, a righteous royal who wants to find out the truth regarding the current condition of his father, the king. As he learns more about the kingdom’s secret, Lee Chang also finds out about an epidemic in his country: the undead haunting and infecting the living.
2.) LEE SHIN in “PRINCESS HOURS”

Ju Ji Hoon portrayed another royal role as Crown Prince Lee Shin in the 2006 Korean series “Princess Hours.” The drama also served as his acting debut, landing a lead role despite being a rookie actor.
In “Princess Hours,” Ju Ji Hoon was paired with actress Yoon Eun Hye as Shin Chae Kyeong, a high school girl who was betrothed to the Crown Prince even before she was born.
3.) YOON HEE JAE in “HYENA”
This on-going series is Ju Ji Hoon’s latest Korean drama with “Signal” actress Kim Hye Soo. The two stars portray two competitive lawyers, Yoon Hee Jae and Jung Geum Ja, respectively.
Hee Jae is an elite and competitive lawyer who works for a top law firm, Song & Kim. While Geum Ja is an independent lawyer with her own law office, her talent is undeniable but her ways are dirty and unethical. As Hee Jae chases after recognition, Geum Ja is all about money, who will win once they butt heads in court?

Unlike his role in “Hyena,” where Ju Ji Hoon portrayed a private lawyer, in “The Devil,” the actor played a public lawyer named Oh Seung Ha. He starred in drama alongside actress Shin Min-A.

The series showcases Ju Ji Hoon’s acting prowess in another crime and legal genre, but this time in a fantasy setting. In “Item” he played a prosecutor known as Kang Gon.

BONUS: HAEWONMAEK in “ALONG WITH THE GODS”
Aside from listing his various Korean drama roles, it’s only proper to also talk about his portrayal in “Along With The Gods,” as the film is one of South Korea’s highest grossing movies and also served as the actor’s breakthrough after his acting comeback in 2011.
In the film, Ju Ji Hoon portrays Hae Won Maek, one of the grim reapers who helped defend Kim Ja Hong (Cha Tae Hyun), a firefighter who honorably passed away, through the mandatory seven trials in the afterlife.
He is also starred in the sequel of the 2017 film. The second installment, titled “The Last 49 Days,” once again stars the three grim reapers Gang Rim (Ha Jung Woo), Haewonmak (Ju Ji Hoon),and Lee Deok Choon (Kim Hyang Gi). This time, the three are set to defend Kim Ja Hong’s brother, Kim Soo Hong (Kim Dong Wook) as he tries to past through several trials in the afterlife.
