“Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,” “Doctors,” and “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” actor Jisoo may be the #PambansangSecondLead in many of his roles in Kdrama land, but last weekend Jisoo became the main lead during his “My One and Only Fanmeeting in Manila” held at the SM Skydome this February 10, just in time to be his fans’ date this Valentine’s week!
The actor opened the event by serenading his fans as he walks around the venue. Afterwards, Jisoo showcased his Tagalog skills with a sweet confession. He told the crowd, “Iniibig ko kayo, iniibig niyo ba ako? Kasi bagay tayo.”
During the interview segment, the hopeless romantic admits that between “falling in love with a friend” and “love at first sight,” he is actually the type to fall in love at first sight. He then revealed that he doesn’t mind whether the girl is five years older (yay to his noona fans) and also doesn’t care about the girl’s nationality (another yay for Filipinas), as long as they can somewhat communicate and understand each other. He also dreams of a beach wedding, but explained that he still has no plans to get married soon.
Lucky fans also got to ask him personal questions such as his favorite workout (push-ups!) and some tidbits about his dog. He also shared some of his treasured memories via his stuff that the organizers brought for him. #Blessed fans who joined the “leading lady” for a day contest, emoji challenge, and trivia game were even able to actually meet the actor up-close and hug him!
Jisoo also got a taste of the Filipino culture when he tried Pinoy dishes including beef caldereta, pancit, BBQ (his favorite!), and halo-halo.
Towards the end, Jisoo surprised his fans with a “harana” through Radiohead’s song “Creep” while distributing red roses to the audience. His thoughtful fans equally surprised the actor with a video and a cake for his upcoming birthday.
The actor ended the fanmeet with the song “I Believe I Can Fly” by R. Kelly.
