SF9 kick starts 2018 as the first k-pop group to perform in Manila this year. It is also Inseong, Jaeyoon, Zuho, Youngbin, Dawon, Hwiyoung, Rowoon, Taeyang, and Chani’s first time in the Philippines.

Here’s a rundown on what happened last weekend at the Solaire Theatre for those who are currently having a #SF9inManila hangover:

INTRO. The boys showcased their individual skills and the Tagalog words they learned during their first “talk segment.”

Youngbin and Zuho rapped, Jaehoon performed his own version of Pinoy novelty song “Otso, Otso,” Taeyang danced sexily while Dawon and Inseong both captured hearts with their aegyo, Rowoon sang a ballad, Hwiyong also serenaded the audience, and lastly Chanhi proclaimed his love to their Pinay “Fantasies.” He shouted, “Philippine Fantasy, mahal kita.” Rowoon and Zuho also chipped in and added another “mahal kita.”

SONGS. SF9’s setlist that night included their songs “Fanfare,” “Roar,” “K.O,” “Jungle Game,” “Hang Out, “Easy Love,” and a cover of Austin Manhone’s “Dirty Work.”

GAMES. The group also played a trivia game with their fans. During the second half of the fan meeting, three lucky Fantasies even got to interact with them on stage.

ROWOON. Rowoon is definitely an eye catcher. Not only due to his good looks and height (although that’s obviously part of the package) but mostly because of his “kakulitin” and how he’s pretty much like a “kiti-kiti” on stage. He even randomly danced Produce 101’s “Pick Me.” (Sobrang kulit, mygahd. In a good way, of course!)

COME BACK. SF9 promised to come back to the Philippines. They gushed, “We have to come back and see you again as soon as possible. We all love you, too, mahal ko kayo.” The boys also sincerely thanked their Filipino Fantasies stating how “truly glad” they are to start their 2018 tour in the country. They concluded, “We really had fun tonight. Maraming salamant po, Pilipinas.”

The fan meeting ended with the group’s title track “O Sole Mio.”
